Goodbye!

by Aug 17, 2018

This is my last blog post before I graduate in a few days! The past 4-1/2 years have been challenging, rewarding, and full of personal growth. I want to share my plans that have been brewing the past few months.

We are moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I’m purchasing an established business called Natural Health Services, Inc. When I least expected it, this opportunity appeared and after doing thorough research, it was too good to pass up! The current owner is selling the business, because his wife, who was a Doctor of Naturopathy (different than a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine), passed away last August. Natural Health Services currently offers colonics, NAET allergy elimination treatments, and biomeridian assessments. I start on September 4th and will work as an employee for 3-6 months as I pay for, and learn the business end of things from the owner. I have a lot of learning ahead of me!

Prospective students–when there’s a will, there’s a way! If you feel deeply called to study naturopathic medicine, follow your passion. Yes, the education is a long and it’s an expensive journey, but there is a tremendous need for what we do. I feel fulfilled daily and it’s extremely rewarding to help people reclaim their health.

Goodbye! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at [email protected]

I'm a naturopathic medical student at NUHS. I started the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine Program in January 2014. I was born and raised in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, a beautiful town on Lake Michigan. My experiences interpreting (Spanish to English) in nearly all medical specialties solidified my decision to study naturopathic medicine, as I saw a deep need for treating the body as a whole, getting to the root causes of symptoms, and using minimally invasive low-cost therapies to restore health.
