Well, that sure was a long break, I feel like it has been ages since I wrote. I use the word "break" lightly as I was in clinic for the duration of the time between the end of last trimester and now. Graduation was awesome, I can even explain how good it felt to complete some part of all that I have been working toward, and I can only guess at how I will feel when this is all finished later this year!

Business Plan Development

We are coming into week 3 of this term. So far, this trimester has been different from any other that I have experienced at this school. The best part is that I do not have any more classes to attend. Aside from my work-study jobs, I am done by 1:30 p.m. each day. The kids are loving the extra time that we have together and we are finally on a schedule that works well for all of us. Seeing patients every day has been kind of great, I have had a wide variety of cases come in, and they definitely keep me busy. Between our patient visits, the charting, and researching treatment options, my days are pretty full. Being in the clinic every day, I am beginning to get a better picture of what I want my life after National to look like. This helps a bunch as I put together the things that I will need to have in place to open my practice. This vision of life after school has been in a state of flux for the last few trimesters, but I am getting to the point where I feel pretty confident in what I will be doing post-graduation come August.

On top of all of this, I have been studying for my boards. I have taken one of the three exams needed for me to start seeing acupuncture patients, and the next two are coming up this week, which is more than a little bit overwhelming. Once those are complete, I will have a few months to prepare for my chiropractic boards, which are scheduled to take place between May and July of this year.
